CY Executive Resourcing are excited to be supporting a housing association in the North West, to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their progressive and highly regarded team.

The Assistant Financial Accountant will be a detailed and conscientious individual, and will support the Finance Manager to ensure the accurate recording of the organisation’s financial position.

Key responsibilities:

* Production of cash flow reporting including forecasting future cashflows

* Ensure all relevant taxes are correctly accounted for so that required returns are submitted in an accurate and timely fashion

* Liaise with external tax advisors

* Production of timely and accurate financial information to the Finance Manager for submission of regulatory returns

* Administration of financial systems including banking access, mandates and payment processes

* Review weekly BACs and sundry payment files before submission

* Provide support and financial advice to all levels of the organisation to inform decision making,

* Provide additional input to support the coordination of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

* Provide financial information and explanations to assist in the production of annual financial statements

* Assist in internal and external audit processes

* Ensure that financial controls are implemented and applied throughout the Group

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and credible individual, with a detailed approach and the ability to analyse complex data.

You will be actively studying for a professional accountancy qualification, and have experience in the housing sector.

A good knowledge of regulations such as FRS102 and SORP, and an understanding of VAT and treasury management is required.

Candidates will be required to work on site in the Manchester area a minimum of two days per week.
