Title: Acoustic Consultant

We are looking for an Acoustic Consultant to join an independent consultancy specialising in architectural and environmental acoustics. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in rural, urban, and industrial settings across the United Kingdom. The company is renowned for providing personalised mentoring and nurturing talented professionals to effectively handle challenges in different environments.

In the position of an acoustic consultant, the main duties include collaborating with architects, developers, engineers, and construction site managers at all project stages to ensure effective communication. This involves conducting noise measurement assessments, sound insulation testing, and 3D noise modelling, followed by comprehensive report preparation. Additionally, acoustical software such as ODEON, INSUL, Soundplan, and CaDnaA is utilised in the performance of these duties.

They should also have a full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and proficient knowledge of British standards including BS4142, BS5228, BS8233, and BS16283. Additionally, they should be local to or within a commutable distance from the Bedford office.
