Our client, a rapidly expanding aerospace engineering company based in Blackburn, is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to join their team. Specialising in the manufacture of precision-engineered components for the aerospace sector, the company is experiencing significant growth, with new contracts and customer demands, which has increased the need for robust quality control and audit management.

The company employs 175 staff at a single site, and the successful candidate will lead a dedicated quality team of five, comprising two Quality Engineers and two Inspectors. As a key figure in the business, the Quality Manager will be responsible for driving the company’s vision in relation to quality and accreditations, ensuring that the organisation meets the growing audit and compliance requirements of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership and strategic direction to the quality department

* Oversee all quality assurance processes, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and customer requirements

* Manage audits and accreditations to maintain the highest standards in aerospace manufacturing

* Collaborate with other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

* Extensive experience in quality management within the aerospace sector

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and enforce the company’s quality objectives

* In-depth knowledge of industry accreditations and regulatory frameworks
