Service Engineer - £35,000 - £40,000 + Pension / Healthcare (Days Role)

Our client, a well-established and growing company in the materials handling equipment sector, is looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer for a static, site-based position. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great business with a fantastic working environment.

The Service Engineer will be responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of equipment on-site. You will work closely with other team members to ensure machines and equipment are fully operational, with a focus on minimizing downtime and improving reliability. This is a Monday to Friday, days-based role, offering a stable working environment. There could be a need for rare travel in the immidiate area.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on equipment, including industrial lifting equipment and forklifts.

* Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

* Conduct regular inspections to ensure machinery is operating efficiently and safely.

* Work collaboratively with other engineers and site personnel to resolve issues promptly.

* Maintain effective records of maintenance activities and liaise with suppliers and contractors as needed.

Requirements:

* Engineering background, ideally with experience in industrial lifting equipment or Electric fork lifts and reach trucks

* Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, systematic approach.

* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

* Mechanical / electrical qualifications are desirable, along with experience in general machinery maintenance.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year
