Job Title: Mechanical Fitter – Water Sector
Location: Kent (Office-based at 6:30 AM, site work required)
Salary: £200 per day (CIS, self-employed)
Hours: 10-hour shifts (8-9 hours on-site) + overtime (time and a half after 4:30 PM, double time after midnight)
Start Date: ASAP
Travel & Benefits: Travel and hotel covered if working further a field

Job Description:

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team, working alongside our Mechanical Supervisor on water sector projects. This role involves hands-on mechanical installations and maintenance, ensuring smooth project delivery across multiple sites.

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:

* Work under the Mechanical Supervisor on project installations

* Carry out steelwork installations, including platforms, handrails, and hop-overs

* Install and maintain pipework (ductile, PVC, fabricated)

* Assist with pump removals and installations

* Participate in specialist projects such as screen refurbishments and aeration lane repairs

Mechanical Fitter Requirements:

* Experience as a Mechanical Fitter within the water sector

* Strong hands-on mechanical skills in steelwork, pipework, and pump systems

* Ability to work full-time on-site and follow supervisor instructions

* Full UK driving license preferred
