The Company
We are working with one of the UKs biggest Recycling and Materials Reprocessing businesses. With nearly a Century of experience, they provide a full cycle offering, being able to sort, grade and reprocess recyclable materials ready to be reused in new products in their fully automated sites.
To date the business has reprocessed over 650 Million Tons of Material and are continue to expand their processing capacity to meet the ever growing demand for recycled, greener materials. As part of this expansion, the business are looking for an additional two Maintenance Engineers to join their Engineering Team.
The Role
Given the nature of how materials are sorted and reprocessed, the vast majority of the work is mechanical in nature, however as the plant is fully automated there will be the necessity to be able to fault find on DC Control Circuits and 3 Phase Equipment.

Alongside Planned Maintenance and Breakdowns, there will be the requirement for some basic fabrication and welding. The Engineers also share a callout rota with each Maintenance Engineer being on call for one week in four which is paid at a minimum of 4 hours at x1.5 equivalent hourly rate regardless of hours on site, and the following day shift off.
The business is very keen on training and development and you would receive full training upon starting. Thanks to the training available they are very open to background and experience and are happy to consider Engineer who may be leaving the Armed Forces, working within the Rail Sector, as well as those with Automation or Process experience.
