Job Title: Estimator

Location: Plymouth

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time, Monday-Friday

Ventro, Firntec and LivGreen are an exciting group of companies focused on fire-safety services and net zero retrofit. We are looking for an Estimator, this is to join our existing team of Active/Passive Estimators. As an Estimator you will complete cost estimations, providing detailed estimates for potential projects. The Estimator will request quotes from suppliers and contractors to review and compare.

Key Responsibilities:  

Review and evaluate cost estimates
Create water-tight specification to correlate with quotations
Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
Ensure timely completion of estimates
Understand scope of work to bid
Manage bid pricing from all vendors
Prepare cost analysis
Create estimates based off both Site Survey and Tender (ITT) Documentation, considering any additional works, i.e. hindrances, access issues that may affect costs during the project
Ability to work within timeframes and work well under pressure
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as work individually in prioritising tasks
Ability to understand floor plans and CAD Drawings.
Good attention to detail

The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience within a similar role – Desired but not essential
Technical knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Time management skills and ability to prioritise
Ability to work well under pressure and within given timescales
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
