Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Civil Construction Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of our highway/bridges construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with extensive experience managing large-scale highway projects from start to finish. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

* On-Site Management:

* Lead and manage all on-site activities, ensuring that construction work is carried out according to project plans, specifications, and timelines.

* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

* Project Execution:

* Supervise and direct site teams, including construction workers, equipment operators, and subcontractors.

* Oversee the installation of infrastructure elements such as roadways, drainage systems, and traffic management systems.

* Ensure that materials, equipment, and labor are used efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines.

* Quality Control and Assurance:

* Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets the required standards.

* Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any issues that could affect project quality or safety.

* Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and progress updates.

* Safety Management:

* Promote a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

* Conduct regular safety briefings and drills to keep the site team informed and prepared.

* Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

* Budget and Resource Management:

* Assist in managing the project budget, ensuring that resources are used effectively and costs are controlled.

* Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.

* Monitor and manage subcontractor performance, ensuring they meet their contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

* Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management practices.

* Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects with a focus on highways.

* Excellent leadership and communication skills.

* Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.

* Must have a valid SMSTS or CSCS Management Card.

* Full three day first aid.
