Position: General Counsel
Role Type: Permanent, Part-Time (three days a week)
Location: Cambridge, predominately remote working with ad hoc travel to the office (around once a month in Cambridge and/or London)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior level In-House Solicitor to join the team at General Counsel level on a part-time basis, three days a week. This role offers remote working with occasional travel to the offices in Cambridge and/or London.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle general commercial agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
Provide legal advice and support on intellectual property (IP) matters.
Advise on data protection issues and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams to support the organisation's objectives while managing legal risks.
Conduct legal research and provide guidance on various legal matters as needed.
Management of a small legal function.Requirements:

Qualified UK Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years PQE.
In-House background is essential, background in the technology and/or communications sector would be an advantage.
Experience handling general commercial agreements, IP, and data protection matters.
Prior management or team supervision experience.
Driven, organised, and passionate about making a difference.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Competitive salary up to £120,000 per annum FTE.
