Lead C++ Software Developer

This leading Asset Management client of ours, with an incredibly diverse portfolio of systematic and quantitative strategies have kicked off this quarters hiring plans through Ncounter. As a technology focused firm reliant on scientific research, compute farms and cutting-edge technology, there are few businesses within Fintech offer such interesting work. As a C++ Developer with lead experience, you will be hired to join the Order Gateway team, based in the City of London (4-days p/w onsite).

This pivotal role calls for a candidate who is not just adept in modern C++ development but also thrives in a collaborative environment, working synergistically with quant researchers and fellow technologists.

Required Qualifications:

* Computer Science with 7+ years’ experience using C++ within Financial Services/ Order Gateway

* Demonstrable experience leading software teams

* Excellent multi-threaded application expertise and optimization knowledge

* Fixed Income, CDS, Corporate bonds, IRS and treasuries

* Background creating reporting and reconciliation applications

* Expertise with Python, Spark, Kafka would be hugely beneficial

This person will be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing the order gateway, ensuring the seamless integration and global reusability of software components. The role extends to collaborating with technology operations, providing expert 2nd and 3rd level application support. A deep understanding of trading, booking, and position keeping is essential, along with experience in scalable and high-availability architectures will be advantageous.

You will be capable of producing robust software components and thriving as an independent contributor within a dynamic team. Additional knowledge of OTC products, Python, and Big Data tools will distinguish you in this role
