One Call Consultants are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to start work for a very good client of ours based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings.

Duties

- Read and interpret schematics to determine floor layout
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas
- Use power tools to prepare subfloors for installation
- Install flooring materials such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, or hardwood
- Apply adhesives and secure flooring in place
- Perform finishing touches such as trimming edges and applying sealants
- Repair or replace damaged flooring as needed

Qualifications

- Cards / Asbestos Awareness Needed

- Proven experience as a Floor Layer or similar role
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of different flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Carpentry skills and painting experience are advantageous
