LOCATION :  Commutable from Birmingham , Derby , Leicester , Coventry , Telford , Worcester, Northampton , Cheltenham, Rugby , Stoke
  
SALARY AND BENEFITS : £43,080 + 18%  Pension , 26 days holiday + bank hols +  additional paid leave
  
THE ROLE :  This is an exciting opportunity to join our Public Sector client as a Health and Safety Manager.  Our client requires an experienced Health and Safety Professional who will play a significant role in leading and supporting the management and assurance of health and safety across a wide and varied estate.

The focus on estate safety will require the Health and Safety Manager to support the various users of the estate  in respect of the mitigation of asbestos, legionella, fuel, gas, fire and electrical safety risks, as well support in respect of complying with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM).

This is a hybrid role that typically involves working 3 days in the office. Candidates also need to be aware that there will be regular travel with a small number of nights away being likely each month.
  
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :

Previous experience of working in a Senior Health and Safety role in the Hard Facilities , Technical ,Construction or Property sectors
Fulfilling the competent person role in a large, geographically dispersed property/estate environment and/or client-side competent person role on capital construction programmes.
Delivering H&S training programmes to diverse audiences using tailored delivery approaches.
Providing support and guidance to estate teams to ensure they take ownership of H&S, especially in respect of CDM duties and outcomes.
Utilising adaptable communication skills to engage a variety of technical and non-technical audiences, explaining your view and standing your ground under pressure.
Delivering planned and reactive work programmes/action plans to improve H&S outcomes.
