Junior Merchandiser

Worcester, Permanent, Full time office based. Salary £25/30K depending on experience.

First Choice Recruitment are very pleased to be supporting our client with their recruitment for a Junior Merchandiser to join their dynamic team.

This is an exciting time as they have experienced strong growth and have new exciting clients and product ranges to work with. Our client specialise in supplying tableware and homewares to large high end stores. In this role you would be working alongside the Merchandising, Buying and Product Development team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role, understand critical path analysis and have excellent data analysis skills. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a progressive growing team!

Key result areas:

Freight & Imports

* Accurately update the PLM system with delivery and shipping information.

* Updating the critical path and ensuring deliveries are on schedule.

* Ensure the DC has all relevant documentation for goods in planning.

* Liaise with the other in-house teams to meet customers/private label specific requirements.

* Proactively manage factory performance to meet required order specifications and delivery timelines

* Updating costings from freight forwarders.

* Updating the business regarding any delays or issues.

Range Planning & Trading

* Work with Buying on Own Brand product reviews, to create seasonal option plans.

* To work with the Buying team to establish a balanced range of merchandise suited to the customer profile of the company

* Build PO template to support Buying in placing of seasonal purchase orders.

* Review stock & sales reports to drive seasonal rebuys in line with OTB.

* Drive sales by supporting with in season trading activity & markdown planning.

* Product lifecycle management.

* Manage concession stocks/allocations in line with sales.

Experience and knowledge:

* Experience as an Admin/ Assistant Merchandiser or similar in a retail/Import environment

* Ability to demonstrate strong Excel skills and high-level proficiency with other Microsoft Office programs

* Understanding of critical paths and seasonal range development.

* Be proactive at interrogating data to identify risks and opportunities and devising action plans accordingly.

* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

* Strong verbal and written communication.

* Works well and contributes as part of a team.

* Educated to GSCE A level or Degree level

Salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
