We are now looking for an experienced Tool Maker to join a team of skilled professionals and support the continued growth and success of their operations.
About the Role
As a Tool Maker, you will play a critical role in producing and maintaining high-precision tooling used across manufacturing operations. You’ll be hands-on in the Toolroom, utilising your machining skills and working to high standards to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate a wide range of machinery within the Toolroom.
* Manufacture extrusion, mould, and finish dies from raw material.
* Produce single-stage clip tools.
* Perform surface grinding, manual milling, and turning.
* Polish components to a grain 320 finish standard.
* Carry out manual compensation bench work.
* Service and repair tooling (PPM) and respond to breakdowns.
What We’re Looking For
* Apprentice-trained or time-served Toolmaker, or hands-on experience in a toolroom environment.
* Experience in heavy manufacturing, preferably within aerospace but other industries are welcomed.
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Confident using precision measuring tools (micrometres, height gauges, etc.) in both imperial and metric formats.
* A self-starter who takes ownership, works well independently, and has a proactive approach to problem-solving.
