About the Role:

We are recruiting Custody Nurses and Paramedics to work on a temporary basis in a busy custody suite in Grays. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the care and wellbeing of detainees, ensuring their health and medical needs are met while they are in custody.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide primary healthcare and emergency response to detainees.

* Conduct health assessments and administer medications as required.

* Identify and address both physical and mental health concerns.

* Work closely with police officers and other custody staff to ensure the safety and care of detainees.

* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with clinical guidelines.

What We’re Looking For:

* Registered Nurse (RGN) or Paramedic with a valid HCPC/NMC registration.

* A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in emergency or acute care.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

* Experience in custody or forensic environments is an advantage but not essential.

* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends.
