Housing Officer - North London
Do you have experience in delivering excellent customer service? At least two years experience of working in a social housing environment? If so, read on!
Our client is looking for a housing officer of a high calibre to work in a Tenancy Management Organisation(TMO) in North London.
Responsibilities are:
To work as part of a team to deliver a comprehensive estate and housing management service to tenants and residents.
To work with complex cases and within the guidelines of current legislation and the Cooperatives legal responsibilities as a landlord's agent.
To carry out duties in the office and in residents' homes as appropriate and to attend meetings, site visits and other events as required which may include activities outside of normal working hours.
To provide performance information to the estate manager and management committee as required.
Monitor voids in order to meet appropriate re-letting targets. Prepare void statistics for the Estate Manager and Management Committee.
To undertake pre void interviews and inspections and also post void inspections to ensure the property meets laid down lettable standards before tenancy sign up.
Ensure that residents are provided with information concerning their rights and responsibilities, ARCH - provided services, benefit entitlement, local authority services, access to other agencies providing information, advice and assistance, the ARCH equal opportunities policy, and other tenancy matters.
To deliver that you must be able to demonstrate:
Strong customer focus
Experience of working with tenants and board to develop and deliver customer responsive services.
Two years experience of working in a social housing environment
Good working knowledge of IT systems: Use of PC, email, inter/intra nets, word processing, spreadsheets and Housing systems (Pyramid and Northgate advantageous)
Good oral and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Understanding and commitment to Health and Safety
Willingness to work flexibly and out of office hours should this be required.
