We are currently recruiting for an ICT Technician role on a temporary basis for our client City of Wolverhampton Council. They are seeking a skilled individual to join their Service Support Team, providing 1st and 2nd line support for their equipment, software, and services. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of their digital and IT systems.
Responsibilities include:
Providing first and second line digital and IT support, ensuring the needs of the organisation's users are met.
Ensuring that equipment and services are fit for purpose.
Monitoring, reporting, and resolving incident trends.
Assisting with the implementation of digital and IT projects.
Engaging with customers to specify requirements and improve processes.Further responsibilities include:
Being a point of contact and providing advice and support on all digital and IT systems.
Ensuring customers have the required equipment, software, and services that are functioning correctly.
Assisting with the creation and maintenance of windows deployments and application packages.
Keeping internal digital and IT systems up to date, such as ICT assets and licences.
Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues and queries.
Analysing digital and IT support statistics and escalating problems.
Resolving requests and incidents in a timely manner in accordance with service level agreements.
Assisting with planning and delivering IT training and demonstrations.
Monitoring the progress of requests and problems, providing feedback to customers.
Supporting the digital and IT service desk by providing 1st line support.
Managing customer expectations and promoting best practises.
Driving works vehicles to support external customers.
Acting in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures.
Participating in staff development, appraisal, and training, including continuous professional development.
Complying with agreed policies and regulations, including health and safety, equal opportunities, data protection, and financial management.
