Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer - electrical with a background in Nuclear on a permanent basis, to be located in Bridgewater, Bristol.

Accountabilities

Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. Ensuring all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations.
Manage a set area within the Balance of Plant (BOP) on the project.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, to drive the project to support the safe delivery of the areas on time, to the right quality to the highest safety standards.
Ensure the appropriate deliverables are produced on time to ensure no delays to construction activities.
Ensure Configuration Control is maintained across the scope Works Information.
Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Raise technical queries and monitoring progress.Qualifications

Relevant degree in construction or mechanical or electrical engineering,Or HND/HNC electrical engineering (desirable)
Minimum 5 years' experience working in a Major Project Engineering role

CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport
Capable of obtaining security clearance of BPSS or higher.
Professional accreditation (preferred).
Navis Works knowledge (desirable)
Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract is desirable.
Competent in basic IT packages
Experience

Proven experience of safely delivering large scale construction or engineering projects.
Experience in the heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial as is experience in working within a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
