Job Title: Trainee Import/Export Coordinator

Location: Ipswich

Salary: Market-leading salary for Trainee role

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5.30pm

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

* Excellent customer service skills – clear and confident communicator

* Strong attention to detail – accuracy is very important

* Organised and efficient – able to manage deadlines and priorities

* Computer literate – comfortable using systems and spreadsheets

* Team player – works well with others and can take the initiative

* GCSE’s (or equivalent) in Maths & English – good grades are essential

* Previous experience in freight forwarding is a bonus but not essential as full training will be provided

Key duties & Responsibilities:

* Ensure the smooth and cost-effective transportation of goods

* Creating job files from customer-provided shipping documents

* Communicating with customers, oversees agents and shipping lines

* Tracking & monitoring shipments in transit and keeping customers updated of status

* Updating the company internal forwarding system

* Liaising with Hauliers and the internal transport team

* Handling general administration tasks
