Senior Quantity Surveyor

Company: Tier 1 Contractor

Location: Central London (Main Office) & Static Offices in South London and Hampshire

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + Comprehensive Benefits Package

About Us: Leading Tier 1 contractor with extensive experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. We are currently engaged in a significant framework with their segment being valued at £1.2 billion, focusing on rail-related projects, including buildings & civils, earthworks,structures & enhancements procurement, and development. This framework is at the procurement and development stage, and has a 5-10 year duration.

Position Overview: We are seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our team. This role requires a strong background in rail projects, as well as the ability to manage and oversee the financial aspects of large-scale infrastructure works. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of our projects within the framework.

Competitive salary up to £70,000 per annum.

Cost Management: Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and value is maximised.
Estimating and Tendering: Develop detailed cost estimates and participate in the tendering process for various project packages.
Contract Administration: Manage contract documentation, including variations, claims, and final accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to project managers and senior management.
Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess costs, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery of services and materials.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their financial and contractual requirements are met.Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on rail projects.
Skills:
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office, quantity surveying software).
Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
