We’re looking for a skilled and qualified Tree Surgeon Team Leader to lead a team of two in maintaining and caring for trees, hedgerows, and green spaces across Weston-Super-Mare and Gloucestershire. Your expertise will shape greener, safer, and more welcoming environments, making a visible difference to the lives of our customers and helping them feel proud of where they live.

What you'll be doing as a Tree Surgeon Team Leader

* Caring for trees and hedgerows – Planting, pruning, thinning, and felling trees safely and professionally.

* Making homes feel like home – Enhancing outdoor spaces that residents love.

* Problem-solving in nature – Tackling challenges like storm-damaged or hazardous trees.

* Using and maintaining specialist equipment – Chainsaws, chippers, shredders, and climbing gear.

* Collaborating and leading – Supporting a team of 2 and working together safely.

* Keeping things safe – Conducting site risk assessments and following regulations.

What we're looking for:

* NPTC/Lantra qualifications:

* CS30 (201/202) – Chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting

* CS31 (203) and CS32 (301) – Felling trees

* CS40 (307) – Pruning

* NPTC – Chipper Operations

* Confidence in tree care, pruning, and climbing.

* Ability to use, clean, and maintain a range of hand and power tools.

* Extensive knowledge of trees, shrubs, and pruning techniques.

* Comfortable working at height – Confident and competent climbing ability.

* Full UK driving licence.

* A strong communicator and team player – Able to work well with others across teams and services.

* To be able to complete a basic DBS, which will be provided by Bromford.
