Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Estimator, with an opportunity for those in a junior position to progress to a Leading Estimator role. This position starts as a freelance role with the expectation to transition to a permanent PAYE position. The role requires the successful candidate to be office-based in West Malling 3-4 days a week, offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for various projects.
·Analyze project plans and specifications to understand scope and requirements.
·Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
·Monitor and report on project costs, providing updates and recommendations as needed.
·Participate in meetings with clients and contractors to discuss project estimates.
·Continuously review and improve estimating processes and procedures.

Qualifications:
·Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or in a similar estimating role.
·Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Willingness to transition from freelance to a permanent PAYE role.
·Experience in Highways Civils and Surfacing, working with Local authorities/ NH schemes.
