42.5 hour week - Monday - Friday 2pm - 11pm

Our client has a position available for a cargo x-ray screener and will be responsible for conducting screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air

Duties include the screening of parcels ready for export, conduct screening and security checks in line with training and CAA regulations, recording and escalating any issues or concerns, maintain focus and awareness within a busy environment, pallet screening, tolerate moderate to loud level of noise within a work environment, utilise knowledge of airline codes, prefixes and common cargo abbreviations, follow instructions and supervision from lead screener, assisting in general warehouse duties

Skills, competences and attributes:

ability to multi task, prioritise and have a proactive approach, must be physically fit due to manual handling, proficient in English including reading, writing, speaking and listening, excellent visual observation and identification ability, must be able to communicate efficiently, previous experience is desirable, competent at literacy, numeracy and it, flexible attitude to working hours, organisation and planning skills, teamwork, sound industry knowledge, flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances, problem solving abilities and able to work under pressure, accuracy and attention to detail

Essential requirements:

5 year employment within the UK, clear criminal record check, NXCT, cargo operative screening, FLT Licence, right to live and work in the UK
