Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician/MOT Tester to join our clients well established team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and a passion for ensuring vehicle safety and compliance. As a Diagnostic Technician/MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on vehicles to ensure they meet legal standards alongside diagnosing and fixing any faults that arise. This role requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Duties

* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations.

* Perform comprehensive inspections, including checking brakes, lights, tyres, and emissions.

* Identify and fix any defects or issues that may affect vehicle safety and performance.

* Complete accurate documentation of test results and communicate findings to customers.

* Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.

* Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle components when necessary.

Experience

* Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician/MOT Tester is required.

* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

* Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools in a workshop environment.

* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs

* Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and provide clear explanations of findings.
