Job Description

We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team at our Spalding site. 

As Finance Assistant you will post weekly and month end journals and assist in the preparation balance sheet reconciliations.  There will be specific responsibilities relating to controlling the cash book, credit cards, and expenses along with yearend and audit tasks.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (1 hours lunch break).

Salary on offer is between £23,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.

Job responsibilities of Finance Assistant include:

To complete daily Cashbook postings, bank reconciliations, and deal with queries
To complete all credit card and expense administration, analysis, and postings
To prepare PSA reconciliation and analysis for review
To prepare and post General ledger journals
Responsibility for set Balance Sheet Reconciliations
To Post weekly and monthly Payroll journals and Salary prepayments or accruals
To prepare Monthly VAT reconciliations
To assist with the preparation of Monthly Group Reports
To support year end analysis, reconciliations and Group submissions
To assist in supplying information to Auditors for annual audit
To supply data for Tax analysis and assist with queries from the Muller Tax team
To prepare monthly, quarterly and annual returns for the Office of National Statistics

Qualifications

To apply for the role of Finance Assistant you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:

Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills
Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale
Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year
Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business
PC Literate in Word, Excel and Outlook
