TRANSPORT COORDINATOR REQUIRED

Transport Coordinator – Full time - Up to £35k Based in Ware

My client is an international logistics provider that offers bespoke solutions for art handling, installation, storage and art transport.
We are a trusted partner to leading artists, commercial galleries, collectors and public museums worldwide.
Transport coordination is an integral function and is at the forefront of all the logistics work they carry out. We are looking for someone to be championing these processes across to ensure scheduling of deliveries and collections.

You will collaborate with the team to provide high-quality and timely logistics support and co-ordination for jobs being carried out all over the world. Along with pursuing the growth of the transport functionality to the current and potential client base

A snapshot of the impact you can have:
• Planning and coordinating transport routes and daily schedules for Europe for the fleet, ensuring that the transportation is cost efficient and profitable
• Scheduling, planning and allocation of collection and deliveries in the most effect utilisation of resources of fleet & drivers
• Ensuring effective organisation in arranging customer collections, packing services and deliveries
• Working with across departments to plan routes and schedule delivery times, coordinating the drivers, and vehicles for work
• Collaborating with customs for clearance and managing customs entry exceptions
• Managing relationships with clients whilst building a retained client base along with resolving client problems or complaints when they arise
• Assessing clients individual needs on a daily basis - liaising with overseas agents, private collectors galleries, auction houses, artists, transport companies etc.
• Communicating with clients, guiding them through the process of shipping their art/artifacts from different locations
• Quoting and coordinating both domestic and international road freight
• Arranging customer collections and deliveries, which may also include the arranging of specialist packing services
• Preparing and processing documentation and the booking of the chosen method of transportation
• Responsible for managing the export/import processes for road freight shipments
• Assisting with observing drivers’ hours rules and keeping proper records whilst working in line with legislation
• Maintain a high level of customer service, develop relationships and manage client expectations
• Work collaboratively with all operational departments in the business including Projects, Shipping, Customs and Warehouse teams.

Required:
Proven experience in transport planning/logistics/distribution/transport coordination/traffic controller
