About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated Registered Manager to lead and grow a well-established 4-bed residential home for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Kettering. The home currently holds a Good Ofsted rating and is on track for achieving “Outstanding” under the right leadership.

As the Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, compliance, staff management, and strategic development of the home. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Take full managerial responsibility for the home in line with Ofsted, safeguarding, and Children’s Home Regulations.

Provide strong, positive leadership to a team of care staff, promoting a child-centred culture.

Ensure each child’s care plan is implemented, reviewed, and updated to meet individual needs.

Manage budgets effectively and ensure efficient use of resources.

*

Liaise professionally with external agencies including local authorities, social workers, schools, and healthcare providers.

*

Oversee and contribute to inspections, audits, and continuous improvement plans.

*

Promote a therapeutic approach to care and support children in achieving their potential.

Requirements

✅ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent)
✅ Minimum 2 years’ experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential setting
✅ In-depth understanding of Children’s Home Regulations, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding procedures
✅ Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and build high-performing teams
✅ Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
✅ A passion for improving children’s lives and outcomes
