Activity Specialist/Guided Reader

Location: Handsworth

Hours: 10am – 5pm

Pay: £90 Daily

Supply Heroes are working with a friendly Primary School in Handsworth who are looking for an activity specialist to join them as soon as possible.

This is an exciting and unique role, you will be engaging pupils in activities by making learning fun and engaging. Pupils will be encouraged and motivated to participate in fun activities in particular the more quiet and shy pupils.

This role will be perfect for someone with a background in Performing Arts, Theatre and Drama. The ideal candidate will be a fun and confident individual, someone who will be able to introduce innovative methods of engaging pupils in a range of different activities.

Some of the responsibilities of this role will include

* Engaging pupils in fun but educational activities

* Planning exciting and innovative activities

* Helping quieter pupils become more engaged with learning

* Keeping an accurate record of progress

* Sharing best practice with fellow staff members

To be considered for this role you will have;

* A passion for working with young people

* Experience of working with young people, either in a school setting or a holiday club/camp setting

* A background in Performing Arts and/or Drama.

* Understanding of the National Curriculum

* A DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to pay for a new check to be done
