Job Title : CNC Lead

Location : Leicester
Salary : £45 - £50k per annum DOE plus bonus scheme
Hours : Monday to Friday, permanent role

In this role you will help manage and oversee a specialist Joinery and timber CNC workshop.
The company has a great training structure, experience from any CNC workshop background are encouraged to apply however specifically wood/timber CNC is an advantage.

Monday - Friday days based role

The Role:
Overseeing the joinery CNC workshop.
Collaborate closely with other departments, including quality control and maintenance, to ensure the smooth running of the production line.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Operate the machinery as and when required ensuring all deadlines are met
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of machinists, ensuring efficient utilisation of both labour and machinery to meet production targets.
Organise and schedule machine time to maximise productivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Set and program CNCs accordingly
Implement key business KPIs, including Safety, Quality, Environmental, Production Performance, and Cost of Manufacture.
Act as a hands-on leader, engaging directly with the production floor to solve problems, optimise processes, and ensure seamless operation.

Requirements:
Have prior experience managing and taking responsibility of a team of CNC workers
At least 2 years experience of setting and operating a variety of CNC machines
Excellent level of communicative English, both written and spoken
Superb attention to detail and level of quality
Take pride in your work, running your department with high expectations
