About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our supportive team in Newham, starting ASAP. This full-time position is a replacement role, offering a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in our vibrant classroom environment. You will work closely with a diverse group of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and collaborate with a teaching assistant to ensure every child receives the support they need. Application Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Candidates must hold a recognized teaching qualification that grants Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience in Key Stage 1: Applicants should have prior teaching experience in KS1, demonstrating an understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies for young learners.
• Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN): Familiarity with supporting students with Special Educational Needs, including the ability to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), is essential.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to foster effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring a collaborative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum, catering to the diverse needs and abilities of all students to promote a love for learning.
• Regularly assess student progress through various methods, including formative assessments, and provide constructive feedback to support individual development and achievement.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respectful behavior, active participation, and collaboration among students.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to implement targeted interventions for students with special educational needs, ensuring all learners receive the necessary support to thrive.
