Copello has partnered with a global defence company who are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support complex, integrated maritime systems for the UK Defence Sector.

Your Mission

As a key member of our Defence Systems Engineering team, you’ll play an integral role across the entire project lifecycle, from concept to in-service, ensuring the delivery of vital systems for the UK’s Naval assets. You'll work on multi-domain, state-of-the-art systems, contributing to the operational effectiveness of the Royal Navy.

What You’ll Do

* Lead Systems Engineering activities across the full project lifecycle

* Implement and support Systems Engineering processes and methodologies

* Lead technical reviews and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams

* Ensure timely delivery within budget, meeting company standards and customer expectations

What You’ll Bring

* Proven experience in Systems Engineering models, lifecycle planning, and technical reporting

* Expertise in requirements development, design, integration, and acceptance

* A degree or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Software, or Hardware Engineering

* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

* Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Enterprise Architect, MBSE, SysML, and UML

* A passion for delivering high-quality, mission-critical systems

Desirable Skills

* Experience with military standards, marine equipment, and safety-critical systems

* Knowledge of agile principles and scrum methodologies

* INCOSE certification (Associate/Chartered Systems Engineering Professional)
