Our clients a well established Accountancy firm are seeking to appoint and Audit and Accounts Senior to the team, due to company growth. The role is hands on and involves carrying out audit work (with help) from planning through to completion and the preparation of non-audit accounts given the client’s computerised records.

The role will include corporate and personal tax compliance and our clients are happy to train the candidate to deal with these aspects of the work.

The candidate will be given a portfolio of clients with some clients in their sole charge.

There is direct client contact and reporting will be to a Manager/Associate Director.

The portfolio is extremely varied and interesting as our client's do not specialise in any business sector. The clients range from being regulated (Investment Managers and Advisers) to high profile restaurants to travel companies and professional services (i.e. dentists , doctors , solicitors).

Whilst most of the clients are SME/owner managed businesses, there is a number that are subsidiaries of large overseas groups.

The candidate will ideally be from a small to medium size practise and have at least 4 years’ experience at a good quality UK practise.

Our clients offer support a candidate if they have exams to complete.

Iris software is used to generate accounts and tax returns so experience with Iris would be beneficial.

Our client's are a long standing member of the HAT Group of accountants who provided them with audit and accounts methodology and programmes which are used in conjunction with MyWorkPapers (paperless files) to prepare all work.

Ideally the candidate should be qualified and must be prepared to actually do the work as opposed to reviewing the work of others.
