Accelerate Teaching is excited to partner with a fantastic secondary school in Wakefield to recruit an experienced Learning Support Assistant for the upcoming academic year. This is a unique opportunity to join a dedicated team of educators and make a real difference in the lives of students.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide essential help to students with additional needs. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment, ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting teachers in managing classroom activities and ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.
Providing one-on-one or group support for students with special educational needs.
Helping students to engage with the curriculum, develop their confidence, and overcome any learning barriers.
Monitoring and recording student progress, working closely with teachers to adjust learning plans where necessary.
Supporting students with personal care or mobility needs, as required.What we're looking for:

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a secondary school.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
A proactive and adaptable approach, capable of working in a dynamic school environment.
