I am currently recruiting for a Graduate Civil / Site Engineer on a major Highways upgrade in Cumbria.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a key element of work on a project taking a significant role in civil engineering and technical delivery as well as managing aspects of time, cost and quality and will acquire technical, leadership and project management skills and experience.

As a Graduate Civil / Site Engineer, you will be responsible for;

* Assisting in site setup, establishing survey control and use of robotic total station, GPS and levelling instruments to set out and produce as-builts

* Management of site operations, to ensure safety, quality, cost effectiveness, timely production and customer satisfaction including planning and sequencing of operations

* Writing method statements and risk assessments

* Supporting procurement of sub-contractor, labour, plant, and material resources

* Providing team briefings covering operational requirements and performance updates

* Implementing quality control and QA processes to meet regulatory requirements

* Commercial and contract management

* Supporting design development and design management

* Providing scope and growth development proposals and work winning

As a Graduate Civil / Site Engineer, you will be responsible for;

* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

* Full UK Driving Licence is required

* IT proficient

* Able to work accurately and appreciate its importance to the team

* A willingness to learn with appropriate instruction

* Excel at building and maintaining positive relationships

* The ability to thrive in pressured situations

* The ability to empathise and communicate with all people, regardless of their background or circumstances

* Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills
