This position comes from an established OEM that designs and manufactures specialist vehicles for the global market. A leader in their sector with a large design and manufacturing presence here in the UK they have a number of opportunities open to join them due to their continued growth and ongoing investment in new vehicle development.

Joining them as Homologation and Certification Manager you will lead, mentor and develop a team of homologation and certification engineers as you ensure the business and its vehicles are compliant with any current and all future legislative requirements.

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Global homologation compliance for regions including UK, US, Europe, UAE and Australia

* Working with internal departments to identify when legislation is required and support its successful delivery

* Providing technical insight/interpretation into relevant legislation, guiding engineers to ensure requirements are met.

* Ensure documents are created and submitted to the relevant body in a timely manner

* Building strong relationships with 3rd party bodies to ensure not only do vehicles comply but the company remains a market leader for safety and quality

* Train, mentor, upskills and support your team, hold regular 1-1s and support their professional development.

For this role they are seeking a proven homologation professional with a strong background in vehicle regulatory compliance and market homologation activities. Knowledge of standards and legislation such as ECWVTA, GBTA, FMVSS, CMVSS, EPA, CARB and CE marking is key. Existing leadership and/or management experience is also preferred.
