HR Advisor
Location: Wymondham, NR18 9SZ
Salary: £31,586 - £36,124 per annum
Hours: Permanent, 37 hours per week
The Education Trust was established in 2016 with the purpose of bringing like-minded schools together to work in partnership to deliver a world class education to pupils in Norfolk and Suffolk. The Trust currently consists of 9 secondary schools and 11 primary schools, educating over 5,500 pupils. Their schools range in size from the largest state boarding school in the UK, to several very small, rural schools and they all share the belief that high quality education is broad ranging and embraces strong extra-curricular provision and an expectation that all pupils can and should achieve.
The Role
The HR Advisors primary role is to work as an integral part of the HR team, overseeing the recruitment, compliance and HR administration for a number of schools and managing all aspects of recruitment and compliance for specifically assigned schools to this role. You will also be responsible for supporting the Assistant HR Director in process improvements across the Trust and the training and inductions of new employees.
Key Responsibilities
* Line manage the HR Officers and HR Administrator that support all SET schools except for WC and CAN;
* Develop employee engagement with your team by conducting regular one-to one meetings to monitor and feedback on progress;
* Review individual workloads of your team and distribute and manage tasks to ensure maximum productivity;
* Undertake performance reviews and ensure your team clear objectives and personal development plan;
* Coach and train your team to support their development;
* Manage the Compliance alongside the other HR Advisor and the audit of compliance administration, such as:
* Ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed prior to start dates and that any problems are escalated;
* Ensuring that all employment contracts are issued before the commencement of employment;
* Monitor the Single Central Records for your schools and ensure all outstanding checks are progressed in a timely manner;
* Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for candidates once recruitment is completed for your dedicated areas;
* Update and maintain the Trust’s employee database (and files) with all relevant employee personal data, particularly relating to contracts, pay and training;

* The ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and accept challenges.
The qualifications and experience required of a HR Advisor are:
* CIPD qualified or equivalent
* Have strong IT/Microsoft Office skills (preferable knowledge of iTrent) with the ability to swiftly learn bespoke IT systems;
* Previous experience as a HR Generalist in a busy multi-site environment would be desirable;
* Experience of managing organisational change and restructuring programs would be desirable;
* Able to drive, in order to travel to all sites across the Trust.
