Arise Recruit is seeking an Interior Design Assistant to join a growing business in Canterbury.

My client has an open mind regarding the level of experience applicants have, as they are more interested in finding an Interior Design Assistant who would be a good fit for their small team. Somebody who is passionate, creative, a good communicator and excited about throwing themselves into a role and help grow a successful business.

We are looking for an outgoing and hardworking multitasker who is willing to work flexibly within a small team, directly supporting the manager of the business. They will have a strong attention to detail and a conscientious and proactive approach to all areas of duty.

The role will primarily be responsible for general design duties, including but not limited to:

Procurement – including obtaining pricing, estimating, ordering, tracking and invoicing

*

Preparing documents and ordering materials for meetings

*

Attending site visits and client meetings and producing accurate and detailed meeting minutes

*

Assisting on installations as required

*

Creating visuals

*

Updating internal documents and schedules

The ideal candidate will have:

A passion for interior design and architecture, with an understanding of design styles, suppliers, products and finishes

*

A degree in interior design or interior architecture

*

Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUP and ideally Photoshop
