Position: Senior Legal Counsel, Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure

Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum (DOE), plus bonus and benefits

Are you an experienced legal professional with a background in infrastructure projects? Our client, a leading utilities company, is seeking a dynamic and skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join their team in East Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in critical infrastructure projects and provide key legal support in a growing and essential sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and support on a variety of high-end infrastructure projects.
Draft, review, and negotiate project contracts and agreements, with particular expertise in JCT and NEC contracts would be an advantage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage legal risks and ensure smooth execution of infrastructure projects.
Advise on regulatory matters affecting the utilities sector and help navigate complex legal frameworks.
Support the business in developing legal strategies to manage project-related challenges and risks.Requirements:

UK-qualified Solicitor or Barrister with project experience within the infrastructure sector, with a minimum of 8 years expedience.
Ideally have experience JCT, NEC contracts, and public procurement processes.
Expertise in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating infrastructure-related contracts.
Proven ability to manage legal risks in large-scale projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Benefits:
