Southend Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fostering Social Worker to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with foster carers and children in need, providing them with the support and guidance they require.

Key Responsibilities:

* Recruit, assess, and approve potential foster carers.

* Provide ongoing support and supervision to foster carers.

* Match children with appropriate foster placements.

* Conduct regular reviews of foster placements.

* Work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the care of children and young people.

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work qualification (BA or MA)

* Experience working with children and families

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children
