Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Freelance Site Manager for a Civil Engineering contractor to work on an ongoing project in Newcastle.

Duties Include:

* Assisting Project Manager in delivery of schemes.

* Daily briefings with staff on site.

* Delivering HSE toolbox talks.

* Overseeing gangs on the ground in daily delivery of work.

* Monitoring H&S with audits.

* Assist with supply chain & sub-contractor management.

* Plant checks & permits for workforce.

Experience Required:

Must have:

* Experience working as a Supervisor on civil engineering & infrastructure projects.

* SMSTS/SSSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person, First Aid.

* Detailed experience with: structures, refurb, heavy civils.

Remuneration:

A day rate of £350 to £420 per day is on offer for successful candidates
