As the Stores Team Leader, you will oversee the efficient operation of the stores department, ensuring that all processes related to import/export, kitting, stock taking, and inventory control are executed to the highest standards. You will lead a dedicated team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the smooth
flow of materials and products within the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the daily operations of the stores department, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
2. Oversee import and export processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation.
3. Coordinate kitting activities to support production and assembly lines.
4. Conduct regular stock takes and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
5. Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems and practices.
6. Lead, motivate, and develop the stores team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
8. Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
9. Ensure health and safety standards are upheld within the stores environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in a stores or warehouse leadership role, preferably (but not essential) within the motorsport or automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and procedures.
• Experience with kitting and stock taking processes.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
