Team Leader, Soft Landscaping

Salary £40,000 to £45,000 + Vehicle

These are Full Time, Permanent, Employed positions. That means that you are paid for ALL annual working days and include Holiday Pay and Sick Pay.

You will be working for a successful Landscape company that employs more than 90 staff and has been operating for over 30 years. Working with a small team you will be creating the soft landscaping schemes that are the “icing on the cake” for some of the most prestigious, new build, housing developments. Your work will ensure that these projects make the finest impression on perspective buyers and new owners. Your role will be fully mobile, driving the van from home to site.

The Job:

As a Team Leader – Soft Landscaping you will be working alongside, and supervising Operatives on site.

* Using Plans and Planting Diagrams to accurately create Landscaping schemes

* Soil preparation, importing topsoil, grading and levelling

* Seeding and turfing

* Barking / Mulching

* Tree and shrub planting

* General Horticultural duties as necessary

* Ensuring that the various skips are loaded correctly and safely

* Making sure that completed work is recorded and reported

* Communicating any issues or problems with your Line Manager

* Notification of any H&S issues, Observations or Accidents in line with company procedures

* Making sure you have the correct uniform and PPE

* Ensuring that all vehicles and machinery that you use are in good order and safe to operate

* Making sure that all tools and equipment are well maintained, clean and serviceable

The Person:

You will be a Team Leader with about 2 years’ experience in the soft landscaping of new build housing developments. You should have current CSCS and SSSTS Cards, a driving licence and ideally licences for Dumper and Excavator
