Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Attleborough, Norfolk

Daily Rate: £86 - £98

Hours: Mon – Fri: 08:30 – 15:45

Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

Student Support: Build warm, caring relationships with students to help them feel safe and supported, fostering an environment where they can enjoy and learn.

Promote Independence: Encourage personal development and independence in students, maintaining high expectations of behaviour.

Educational Activities: Assist in providing high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities that help students reach their full potential.

Classroom Assistance: The SEN Teaching Assistant will support the Class Teacher with daily classroom activities and ensure smooth operation.

Adaptability: Respond to the changing needs of the school and adapt to various tasks as required.

Holistic Development: Promote the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being of students.

Team Collaboration: Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a friendly multi-professional team.

SEN Teaching Assistant Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language.

Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.

SEN Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEN desirable.

Transportation: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute near rural Attleborough, Norfolk.
