We’re looking for a talented Maintenance Technician to join our team, helping to maintain and enhance our state-of-the-art facilities on Campus.

The Role

* Up to £34,000 Basic Salary

* Fixed Term Until 31st December 2026

* Sainsbury Laboratory (University Of Cambridge)

* Full-time, 36.5 hours per week

* Opportunity to stay within University of Cambridge after the fixed term.

Duties Include

* PPM, repair, and installation of mechanical and electrical systems across our laboratories, glasshouses, and controlled environment rooms (CERs).

* Working both proactively and reactively, you’ll ensure our facilities are fully operational, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and testing equipment.

* In addition to maintenance, you’ll assist with feasibility studies, including cost estimation, material scheduling, and small building alterations.

* You’ll also support compliance efforts through regular inspections and adhere to health and safety standards.
