SER are currently working alongside a Mental Health Service based in the Braintree, Essex area who are currently seeking a Flexible Support Worker to join their team on a permanent contract. Therapeutic optimism is at the heart of all the work carried out by this Mental Health Service, believing all clients with mental health needs can achieve and make positive changes to their lives as they move along their pathway of recovery.
Position: Day Flexible Support Worker
Location: Braintree, Essex
Contract: Permanent - 37.5hrs per week, across a 7-day rota, as agreed by management.
Salary: £23,463pa

About this role:
This role involves supporting clients transitioning from hospital to their homes, offering flexible assistance for individuals with enduring mental health needs on a 7-day shift rota. The focus is on guiding clients through their recovery journey over a 24-month period, helping them set and achieve their goals, become more self-reliant, and reduce their dependence on medical interventions and hospitalisations. The role also includes providing outcome-focused support, addressing dual diagnosis issues, managing housing-related aspects, and collaborating across various services and sites as needed.
Essential Requirements:
* A good standard of education and relevant skills, knowledge, and experience
* Experience of supporting clients move on to independence within a time defined recovery path
* Experience of working with adults with enduring mental health needs or a similar field
* Understanding of Dual Diagnosis and complex needs
* Knowledge of The Mental Health Act
* Able to work flexibly across 7 days a week on a shift rota basis
