Due to continued growth, a leading education recruitment services provider in Newcastle-Under-Lyme is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations and provide strategic guidance to senior management.
  
The role offers a competitive salary and benefits package up to £50,000 with enhanced holidays and your birthday off work.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACCA or CIMA qualified individual to play a key role in ensuring financial health and compliance of a forward-thinking company whole contributing to its growth and success. 
  
As the Financial Controller your tasks and responsibilities will include:

Financial reporting on profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and budget vs actual analyses.
Budgeting and forecasting including annual budgets, monitoring and analysing variances.
Financial compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, as well as preparing and filing tax returns and minimizing liabilities.
Managing cash flow to meet operational needs and maintain sufficient working capital.
Monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable, implementing strategies to optimize cash flow.
Assessing ad enhancing financial controls to safeguard company assets by developing and enforcing policies, procedures and internal controls.
Coordinating and managing annual financial audits, working closely with external auditors.
Leading and mentoring the finance team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.   
The Financial Controller will have the following skills and experience:

ACCA or CIMA certification, a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be a distinct advantage.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in recruitment or education sector.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
Proficient in financial software and tools such as Xero, Excel and financial modeling software.
Analytical problem-solver and decision maker with exceptional attention to detail and string communication and leadership abilities.   

You will be working up to 40 hours from the office in Keele, Monday to Friday.
  
Appointment will be subject to DBS checks, right to work eligibility and satisfactory references.
