Mechanical Design Engineer Permanent Full-Time

Salary - Circa £37,500 DOE
Location - In office, Lincolnshire

We're excited to support a leading engineering company that designs and manufactures advanced vibratory process equipment for industries such as recycling, quarrying, and food production. Known for quality and innovation, they offer customised solutions in conveyors, feeders, and screens to enhance material handling efficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a respected company delivering impactful engineering solutions across essential sectors.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

Take ownership of customer design projects from initial concept through to manufacturing and development
Produce CAD designs using SolidWorks, including machine assemblies, detailed drawings, and data management
Design for manufacture, liaising with fabrication workshop teams and partners to ensure efficient project management
Estimate and cost projects, as well as procure parts from external suppliers
Perform SolidWorks FEA analysis for conceptual testing and visualisationExperiences required

Educated within an engineering discipline (e.g., time-served, HND, HNC, BSc, BEng, MSc)
Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling (or similar software such as Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, CATIA, Autodesk, Siemens NX, Fusion 360)
Strong understanding of component modelling and design for manufacture (DFM or DFMA)
Hands-on workshop fabrication experience and designing for sheet metal, metal pressing/folding machines, and weldments is desirablePackage
