Client Bookkeeper - Full or Part Time

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity? We have a fantastic opening for a Client Bookkeeper within a well established and reputable accountancy practice based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Join a dynamic team and contribute to a range of client bookkeeping duties, utilising various software including Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent, and Clearbooks.

Role and Responsibilities:

Perform bookkeeping duties for a variety of clients

Assist clients with bookkeeping and software queries

Manage VAT Returns and liaise with clients to ensure timely completion

Complete bank reconciliations and prepare necessary schedules and reports

File VAT and CIS returns and ensure all client work is completed within set timescales

Requirements:

Demonstrable bookkeeping experience

Familiarity with cloud bookkeeping software, specifically Xero

Strong customer service skills and knowledge of VAT

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and pay close attention to detail

Desire to be a proactive team member and ideally previous experience in an accountancy practice
