About the Role:
The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for supporting the procurement team with the purchasing of electrical components, materials, and tools required for various projects. The role requires a strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing and procuring electrical products, tools, and materials for ongoing projects
Liaise with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services
Process and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
Maintain inventory records and track stock levels to prevent shortages
Support supplier evaluation and on-boarding processes
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement needs are met on time and within budget
Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on any delays or discrepancies
Provide administrative support to the procurement team as neededRequirements:
Previous experience in a procurement or administrative role (experience in electrical or construction-related industries is advantageous)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well both independently and within a team
Proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detailDesirable Skills:
Experience with procurement software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage)
Knowledge of electrical products and industry-specific requirements
