The Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and decision-making across the organisation. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple business entities to provide insightful analysis, support strategic initiatives, and ensure robust financial management. This is a high-impact role for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis
Develop and oversee financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Provide actionable insights to business leaders to drive performance and profitability.
Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as a trusted advisor to department heads, ensuring alignment of financial goals with business objectives.
Partner with operational teams across multiple entities to support decision-making and improve financial outcomes.
Strategic Initiatives
Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and financial modelling.
Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations.
Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic growth plans. Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
A recognized finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or similar role within a software, technology or engineering environment.
Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Desirable:
Experience working in a multi-entity, international environment.
Familiarity with software/technology business models, including SaaS metrics.
Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
